How To Make - Make Beautiful Stuff

Join us in Logan as we continue with our current series, How To Make. This week Pastor Henry's helps us to focus on the idea that every individual has a unique purpose and the capacity to create beautiful things. We exist to make beautiful things, and our worth is defined by God's truth, not external judgments. It’s important to recognise your individual calling and gifts, understanding that you are part of God's larger plan. Be encouraged and embrace your calling with the unique gifts He has given you, for you exist to make beautiful things.

The Lord said to Moses, “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze, in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, to work in every craft. - Exodus 31:1-5 (ESV)

How To Make - Meaningful Work

This week Pastor Henry explores the significance of God's creation of the humanity and the world around us.  We should be in awe of God's creations. Our purpose lies in reflecting God's image through meaningful work. As humans we are entrusted with the responsibility to be stewards and co-labourers in continuing God's creation, cultivating it, and multiplying. As beings made in God's image, we have a unique purpose in contributing positively to the world. How is God’s presence driving your purpose?

And God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds—livestock and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds.” And it was so.And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. How To Make - Created to Workship

Join us in Logan as we commence our new series, How To Make. This week Pastor Henry delves into the idea that work is a powerful form of worship. There is a need for everyone to see their daily tasks as opportunities for devotion to God. Our vocation, which includes our jobs and professions, should be viewed as a calling from God. Be encouraged to make choices that reflect your faith in the classroom, in your workplace, in your vocation, and to recognise that God is with you wherever you go. Our work should be done with devotion and honour for God.  In the midst of life's daily tasks, be sure to make your work an act of worship and a reflection of your faith.

Now out of the ground the Lord God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. Rise above challenges with His resurrection power and embrace your unique mission in this world.

Transformers - Philip: Embracing Devine Appointments

Join us at Logan as we continue with our current series, Transformers. This week Pastor Henry discusses the theme of "Embracing Divine Appointments” and highlights the concept of divine appointments as moments orchestrated by God for a specific purpose.  It’s important to obey God’s calling and guidance even when it leads to leaving your comfort zone. Devine appointments are not mere coincidences but opportunities for God's purpose to be fulfilled.  Embracing divine appointments can lead to unexpected blessings and purpose.  In times of uncertainty, remember to trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding.  Be encouraged to trust in God's plan, even when it takes you out of your comfort zone.

Transformers - Paul: From Church Persecutor to Church Planter

Join us at Logan as we continue our current series, Transformers. This week Pastor Henry's explores the transformation of the apostle Paul, as detailed in the Books of Acts, highlighting Paul's journey from being a zealous persecutor of Christians to becoming a fervent church planter after his profound encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus. There is a power of faith in Jesus Christ and the pivotal role of the Holy Spirit in guiding and empowering Paul's mission. All good gifts come from God, and we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to fulfil our unique purposes for His glory. Be encouraged that just as Paul discovered his purpose and calling, you too can find their "ikigai" or reason for being in a deep relationship with God.

But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began to contradict what was spoken by Paul, reviling him.  And Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, “It was necessary that the word of God be spoken first to you. Since you thrust it aside and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles. For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,“‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’” - Acts 13: 45-47 (ESV)

Transformers - Stephen: The First Martyr

This week Pastor Henry shares a message focusing on the transformation of Stephen. There must be an importance of trust and action in our relationship with God. There was a personal transformation, faith, and unity within the church. Stephen had unwavering faith even in the face of persecution. Be encouraged today to trust and follow this example, and be reminded that faith involves more than just belief—it requires commitment and action.  

 

Then they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul.  And as they were stoning Stephen, he called out, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”  And falling to his knees he cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep. - Acts 7:58-60 (ESV)

Transformers - Peter: From Denial to Gamechanger

Join us in Logan as we start a new series, Transformers: Gospel Metamorphosis in the Book of Acts. This week Pastor Henry explores the theme of transformation within the context of the early church. Peter had gone from denying Jesus to becoming a game changer for the faith. There needs to be an authenticity in our relationship with Christ.  Transformation is an ongoing process, and it's essential to confront and address the aspects of our lives that do not align with Jesus' teachings.  In the privacy of our hearts, are you truly reflecting Jesus?

For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”  And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation.” So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls. - Acts 2:39-41 (ESV)

One Anothering - The ABCD’s of Relationships

It’s important we embody values like love, respect, and unity while fostering these connections. By centering relationships on Christ, we can create a culture of support and growth within the church, fostering deeper connections and meaningful interactions. Be encouraged that you can view your relationships through the lens of Christ's teachings and create a safe environment for open and honest discussions.

One Anothering - Single and Complete

This week Pastor Henry discusses themes of singleness, and relationships, emphasising the perspective that singleness is a gift from God rather than a burden.  Be encouraged to embrace your single season with a sense of purpose and to foster supportive community connections within the church.  How comfortable are you at inviting others into your life? How can the church redefine intimacy and family?
