CORE - Discipleship

This week Pastor Henry explores the value of discipleship - defining it not as a simple task to check off or a program to consume, but as a lifelong relational apprenticeship toward Jesus. So shift from being mere consumers of church content to building genuine, life-on-life proximity with God and our spiritual family. Real discipleship requires systematically reordering our life to align with the character of Christ, walking so closely in His footsteps that we get "His dust" on us. Jesus does not demand perfection before inviting you closer - wherever you are on your journey, your next step is simply to move one step closer to Him.

CORE - The Cost of Worship

This week Pastor Henry delves into the true meaning of worship. We are encouraged to bring our genuine lives, time, and heavy burdens directly to God. Laying our real struggles and pride before God is never a sign of weakness, but the exact place where heart change and true restoration begin.

On that day Gad went to David and said to him, “Go up and build an altar to the Lord on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.”So David went up, as the Lord had commanded through Gad. When Araunah looked and saw the king and his officials coming toward him, he went out and bowed down before the king with his face to the ground. - 2 Samuel 24:18-20 (ESV)

Holy Spirit Is - How To Live In The Spirit

This week Pastor Henry focuses on what it practically looks like to live and walk with the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. Step away from performance or trying to look good, and instead choose a continuous posture of acknowledging, yielding to, and cooperating with the Spirit when our alarms go off on Monday morning and throughout the week. When we prepare our hearts with honesty, humility, and genuine expectation, a Spirit-empowered life can become as natural and beautiful as breathing.

So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” - Acts 1:6-8 (ESV)

Holy Spirit Is - God - Not a Guest, Person - Not a Force

This week Pastor Henry challenges us to shift our perspective from simply believing in the Holy Spirit to truly knowing Him as a person. The Holy Spirit is not an energetic vibe or a lesser force, but a person who possesses a mind, emotions, and a will, and who is fully God - so invite Him into your everyday lives as a permanent resident. The Holy Spirit is closer than your own thoughts and deeply committed to your transformation, walking with you through every ordinary moment.

Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. - John 16:7-11 (ESV)

Holy Spirit Is - He Never Stopped Moving

This week Pastor Henry explores how the Holy Spirit has actively revealed Himself throughout church history.  The Spirit moves toward hunger rather than prestige, crosses every barrier, and works through unity and community.  We can step out of our dry seasons and into a fresh outpouring of faith. You are not on the side lines of what God is doing - you are exactly the kind of community that the Holy Spirit chooses to do His greatest work.

Holy Spirit Is - He was Already There

This week Pastor Henry reminds us that the Holy Spirit is a person who has always been active, purposeful, and present since the very beginning of creation. Jesus opened the door for the Holy Spirit to transition from being merely with us to permanently living inside of us. So stop relying on your own strength and instead actively lean into the power and daily leading of the Holy Spirit who already resides within us. 

And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and a report about him went out through all the surrounding country. And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all. - Luke 4:14-15 (ESV)

Not Next But Now

This week Losa Pio explores how God doesn't call the qualified but instead qualifies the called.  Instead of letting fear, shame, or excuses of being too young or lacking confidence define us, we are encouraged to silence the distractions, step out in obedience, and trust Him. You do not need to have the entire journey mapped out to move forward, because God knows you, He calls you, and His presence is always with you.

Pentecost Sunday - The Harvest of Redemption

This week Pastor Henry examines the story of Pentecost through a "harvest lens" to challenge the idea that we can handle everything on our own, pointing us instead toward a dependence on God.  The outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost is presented not merely as a historical event, but as the active initiation of the global mission of God - gathering hungry souls from every nation, tribe, and tongue into a unified church. 

When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.  And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them.  And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. - Acts 2:1-4 (ESV)

Acts - God Answers Anyway

This week Pastor Henry explores how God answers our prayers even when they stem from a place of fear, dread, or desperation rather than confidence. Be reminded that our desperation does not offend God. Take this truth into your week as an encouraging reminder that God is never caught off guard, never late, and never absent - even when we feel we have nowhere else to go, He answers anyway.

 

And behold, an angel of the Lord stood next to him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him, saying, “Get up quickly.” And the chains fell off his hands.  And the angel said to him, “Dress yourself and put on your sandals.” And he did so. And he said to him, “Wrap your cloak around you and follow me.”  And he went out and followed him. Acts - Woven With Purpose

This week, Stephanie explores the powerful truth that we are woven with purpose into the building of God's kingdom. We are encouraged to recognise that our differences do not determine our value or access to God, but instead create a unity of purpose where every life is intentionally placed. Take this truth into your week as a reminder that you are not an accident or filler, but a necessary thread woven with intention to give strength to what God is building.
