Firm Foundations - Lordship and Obedience

This week Pastor Neli helps us to realise how our trust in Jesus as Lord should shape every aspect of our lives.  When you trust in God, surrender to His Lordship, and walk in obedience, you are securing your life on an unshakable foundation. Even when uncertainty, fear, or doubt try to creep in, stand firm in the truth that He is with you, guiding you, and strengthening you. 

“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. Firm Foundations - Sin and Salvation

This week Pastor Henry help us to remember, that no matter where we are in your journey of faith,  God has created us with purpose and intention. Challenges will come, but when your foundation is built on His word, you will stand firm. Let His grace shape you, His truth guide you, and His love sustain you. You are not alone—let’s grow together, build together, and walk in the life God has called us to. 

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. - Ephesians 2:8-10 (ESV)

Heartbeat -Socially Responsible

This week Pastor JR reminds us  that Jesus is not just our Saviour—He is our King, and His kingdom is unshakable. He calls us to live Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered lives, bringing hope, healing, and freedom to those around us. When we walk in His calling, honouring God and serving others, we become part of something greater than ourselves. Let’s step out boldly, knowing that we are part of His kingdom, equipped and empowered to make a lasting impact. 

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
    because he has anointed me
    to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives
    and recovering of sight to the blind,
    to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.”

Heartbeat - Pentecost to Power

This week Stephanie helps us to remember that we are called and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Just as the disciples gathered in unity, waited, and received God’s power at Pentecost, we too must stay connected to our source—God Himself. When we plug into His presence, we are equipped with strength, wisdom, and courage to walk out our purpose. It’s not just about showing up; it’s about being fully engaged, listening to His leading, and stepping out in faith.

When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. - Acts 2:1-4 (ESV)

Heartbeat - Outreach

This week Pastor Henry helps us to reflect on our own storms and challenges.  No matter the storms you face, take heart—Jesus is with you. Just as He walked on water to reach His disciples in their moment of fear, He meets you in your struggles, offering His steady hand. When the waves feel overwhelming, fix your eyes on Him, knowing that He is greater than any challenge before you. Step out in faith, trusting that He will not let you sink. Let His presence be your peace, His Word be your guide, and His love be your strength. 

He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus.  But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”  And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.  And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.” - Matthew 14:29-33 (ESV)

Heartbeat - Worship

This week Pastor JR helps us to remember that worship is more than just songs or a Sunday gathering—it’s a lifestyle rooted in knowing and honoring God. True worship isn’t about a place or routine; it’s about connecting with God in spirit and truth, letting His presence shape your heart and actions. When Jesus remains at the center of your life, your worship becomes a response of gratitude, surrender, and joy. 

So Abraham rose early in the morning, saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and his son Isaac. And he cut the wood for the burnt offering and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.  On the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place from afar.  Then Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; I and the boy will go over there and worship and come again to you.” - Genesis 22:3-5 (ESV)

The Cross - Simon of Cyrene

This week Pastor JR lets Simon of Cyrene's unexpected moments remind us of God's purpose even in life's interruptions. Just as Simon was compelled to carry the cross of Christ, we too may face moments that feel unplanned or overwhelming. In those moments, God invites us to step into His greater story. Your acts of faith, even when they feel small or unintentional, are significant in His Kingdom. Let us deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Him, knowing that His grace strengthens us for the journey.

²⁶ And as they led him away, they seized one Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, and laid on him the cross, to carry it behind Jesus. - Luke 23:26 (ESV)

The Cross - Nicodemus

This week Stephanie reminds us of the story of Nicodemus. His journey reminds us that curiosity and questions can lead to transformation, but only when paired with faith and boldness. Nicodemus started with hesitations, seeking Jesus in the quiet of night, but over time, his encounter with Christ moved him from curiosity to conviction. Let’s not shy away from our questions or doubts but bring them to Jesus openly. Trust that He meets us where we are and invites us into a deeper understanding and relationship with Him. 

 

Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.  This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.”  Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”  Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?”  Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. John 3:1-5 (ESV) 

The Cross - Mary Magdalene

This week Pastor Jr lets the story of Mary Magdalene inspire us to see the power of the cross in a fresh way. Despite her past, marked by oppression and brokenness, she encountered Jesus and was completely transformed. Her life reminds us that the cross is not just a historical event but a deeply personal act of love and salvation. Whatever challenges or struggles you face, remember that Jesus endured the ultimate suffering and declared, "It is finished." You are not defined by your past or your circumstances. Stand firm in faith, knowing that the cross turns fear into hope, pain into purpose, and doubt into unshakable belief.

The Cross - Roman Centurion

This week Pastor Henry helps us to reflect on the message of the cross, remembering the transformative power it holds. The Roman centurion witnessed the crucifixion and declared, "Truly, this was the Son of God," an acknowledgment that changed everything for him. In the same way, the cross invites us to approach Jesus with humility, awe, and reverence, recognizing His sacrificial love and the way He has made for us to know God. Let this truth shape your perspective, inspire gratitude, and deepen your relationship with Him .

The tombs also were opened. And many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many. When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe and said, “Truly this was the Son of God!” - Matthew 27:52-54 (ESV)
