This week Pastor Henry encourages us to embrace the new opportunities and responsibilities God places before us.  Even when we feel unqualified or overwhelmed by a history of mistakes, the Holy Spirit is ready to fill us with power, steady our hearts, and provide the exact words we need to speak. We mustn’t let fear hold us back from the what God is calling us into. 

And I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke; the sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood, before the day of the Lord comes, the great and magnificent day. And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.’ - Acts 2:19-21 (ESV)

This week Pastor Henry explores the transformative power that occurs "When the Spirit Moves”. The early church was born not from hype or human strategy, but through a posture of unity, prayer, and obedient waiting on God's promises. We can see divine interruptions as opportunities for restoration and empowerment. The same Holy Spirit power which poured out at Pentecost is available today to lead, guide, and meet everyone exactly where they are, provided they remain hungry and submitted to God's timing. Whether you are in a season of forced pauses or facing sudden shifts, take heart in knowing that God often speaks most clearly when the noise of the world is silenced.

 

When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place.  And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.  And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them.  And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. - Acts 2:1-4 (ESV)

This week Pastor Henry encourages us to see our daily lives as an active part of God’s ongoing mission. True mission is not measured by the activity or performance, but by a foundational identity rooted in Christ. Our purpose flows from three key truths: recognising Jesus as Lord, embracing our identity as His witnesses, and orienting our lives to honour God. So move beyond just reading about the church but instead live out your calling through the power of the Holy Spirit, which continues to advance God's mission through us right here and right now.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” - Acts 1:8 (ESV)

This week Pastor Henry explores the church's mission by challenging us to consider what truly captures our attention when combined with the constant noise and distractions of modern life. Lift up your eyes and look beyond natural distractions or cultural barriers. Just as Jesus saw transformation where the disciples saw only a place to avoid, we are invited to see people and situations through a lens of potential and hope. People are ready to receive the gospel today.  We are all invited to join in a shared labour where sower and reaper rejoice together.

Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest. Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together. For here the saying holds true, ‘One sows and another reaps.’ I sent you to reap that for which you did not labor. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labor.” - John 4:35-38 (ESV)

This week Stephanie explores how we are sent by God, emphasising that we are called to a unified global Jesus does not send us out unsupported - He provides His peace and the power of the Holy Spirit to sustain us. Spiritual exhaustion and "hitting the wall" often come from trying to run God's mission on empty rather than relying on His constant source of strength. Know that you are not alone in your journey, as God breathes fresh life into your mission and empowers you to impact your community through His love.

 

Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. - John 20:21-22 (ESV)

This week Pastor Henry share the Father’s Love that is so extensive it reaches beyond every boundary. Know you are not here by coincidence but by divine destiny, as God speaks peace and comfort into areas of hurt or instability. You can expect great things from God and attempt great things for God. Because God loves and sends, we are also sent to express His love to those around us.

This week Pastor Henry teaches that Jesus’ crucifixion is the central turning point of history, where God's redemptive purpose was fulfilled and the way back to the Father was opened for everyone. Although Jesus experienced a deeply troubled soul and felt the weight of suffering, His obedience ensured that a moment of darkness became the path for salvation. God’s mission often advances through suffering rather than ending with it; what may look like a failed mission or a "dead end" in human eyes is often the doorway to something greater in God's hands. 

Jesus answered, “This voice has come for your sake, not mine. Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out. And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” He said this to show by what kind of death he was going to die. - John 12:30-33 (ESV)

This week Pastor Neli offers a word of encouragement that the light of Jesus shines in every darkness and can never be defeated. Even when life's sudden trials force us to set aside our own plans, we can find peace in the reality that God is actively present with us. So reflect on Jesus as the Wonderful Counsellor and Prince of Peace who brings justice and joy to the nations. 

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone. You have multiplied the nation; you have increased its joy; they rejoice before you as with joy at the harvest, as they are glad when they divide the spoil. - Isaiah 9:2-3 (ESV)

This week Pastor Henry reflects on the birth of Jesus where they had no room. When Christ comes to you, will you have room for him?. Turn down the world’s volume and tune into Christ, making room for His presence in your heart and home by surrendering the places you have kept closed to Him, so that you may carry His good news with the courage of the shepherds and ponder His truths with the deep posture of Mary.

And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them. But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them. – Luke 2:18-20 (ESV)

This week Pastor Henry reminds us that silence is never the end of God's story, but like a seed unseen underground, God is doing stuff that we don't necessarily see beneath the surface.  Christmas declares that God is with us, that God has visited us, that God has redeemed us, that God has brought light. This light is Jesus Christ, who comes to guide our feet into the way of peace.

 

And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways, to give knowledge of salvation to his people in the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.” - Luke 1:76-80 (ESV)
