A Light in Babylon - Transforming Kings

Join us in Logan as we continue with our current series, A Light in Babylon. This week Pastor Henry unpacks the transformative power of God’s grace in and through the life of Nebuchadnezzar. Transformation is a process.  What is our response to people we are reaching out to?  Are we sharing the truth of God’s word? Have you considered if you are connected to and glorifying The Lord daily?

While the words were still in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, “O King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken: The kingdom has departed from you, and you shall be driven from among men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. And you shall be made to eat grass like an ox, and seven periods of time shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will.” Immediately the word was fulfilled against Nebuchadnezzar. He was driven from among men and ate grass like an ox, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven till his hair grew as long as eagles' feathers, and his nails were like birds' claws. - Daniel 4:31-33 (ESV)

A Light in Babylon - Another In The Fire

Then the king gave Daniel high honors and many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon and chief prefect over all the wise men of Babylon. Light in Babylon - 10 Times Better

Join us in Logan as we start our new series, Light in Babylon. This week Pastor Henry speaks about being a light in our own city. How faithful are you to God’s standards? Do you have the same level of resilience as Daniel to be different and not influenced by the world around you? If you stand out because of God, you will be given the opportunity to stand up for God. Be a light in your Babylon. 

But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king's food, or with the wine that he drank. Therefore he asked the chief of the eunuchs to allow him not to defile himself. And God gave Daniel favor and compassion in the sight of the chief of the eunuchs, and the chief of the eunuchs said to Daniel, “I fear my lord the king, who assigned your food and your drink; for why should he see that you were in worse condition than the youths who are of your own age? Gone Fishing - Rattling in the Restoration

Gone Fishing - Creation

This week Pastor Henry breaks down the different movements of the Gospel, beginning with Creation.  Creation rests on the assumption there is an intelligent designer who designed us with a purpose. Humanity were made in the image of God but what kind for culture are you building? A culture that is good or toxic?

Worship is a lifestyle dedicated under the lordship of God and offered to him in worship.  How are you showing in your lifestyle what it means to worship God?  Are you willing to trust and worship God with your whole lifestyle?

On the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place from afar.  Then Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; I and the boy will go over there and worship and come again to you.” And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son. DNA - Family Ties

This week Norman continues to discuss the values of the church by focusing on Family.  Family is important to God.  Family is relationship and it’s how God builds His church.  God works through family and the generation but what legacy are you building for the next generation:?

For David said, “Solomon my son is young and inexperienced, and the house that is to be built for the Lord must be exceedingly magnificent, of fame and glory throughout all lands. I will therefore make preparation for it.” So David provided materials in great quantity before his death.

DNA - To Reach Others

Are you willing to share what God has done in you?  How have you experienced Jesus in your life or do you ever doubt what God us called you to do? Be encouraged as you’re empowered by the Holy Spirit to reach out to those around you. 

And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.  Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.  And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues;  they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” - Mark 16:15-18 (ESV)
