Transformers - Lydia: Purple Reign

One who heard us was a woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple goods, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul.And after she was baptized, and her household as well, she urged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” And she prevailed upon us. - Acts 16:14-15 (ESV)

Transformers - Philip: Embracing Devine Appointments

This week Pastor Henry discusses the theme of "Embracing Divine Appointments” and highlights the concept of divine appointments as moments orchestrated by God for a specific purpose.  It’s important to obey God’s calling and guidance even when it leads to leaving your comfort zone. Devine appointments are not mere coincidences but opportunities for God's purpose to be fulfilled.  Embracing divine appointments can lead to unexpected blessings and purpose.  In times of uncertainty, remember to trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding.  Be encouraged to trust in God's plan, even when it takes you out of your comfort zone.

Transformers - Paul: From Church Persecutor to Church Planter

Join us at Logan as we continue our current series, Transformers. This week Pastor Henry's explores the transformation of the apostle Paul, as detailed in the Books of Acts, highlighting Paul's journey from being a zealous persecutor of Christians to becoming a fervent church planter after his profound encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus. There is a power of faith in Jesus Christ and the pivotal role of the Holy Spirit in guiding and empowering Paul's mission. All good gifts come from God, and we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to fulfil our unique purposes for His glory. Be encouraged that just as Paul discovered his purpose and calling, you too can find their "ikigai" or reason for being in a deep relationship with God.

But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began to contradict what was spoken by Paul, reviling him.  And Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, “It was necessary that the word of God be spoken first to you. Since you thrust it aside and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles. For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,“‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’” - Acts 13: 45-47 (ESV)

Transformers - Stephen: The First Martyr

This week Pastor Henry shares a message focusing on the transformation of Stephen. There must be an importance of trust and action in our relationship with God. There was a personal transformation, faith, and unity within the church. Stephen had unwavering faith even in the face of persecution. Be encouraged today to trust and follow this example, and be reminded that faith involves more than just belief—it requires commitment and action.  

 

Then they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul.  And as they were stoning Stephen, he called out, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”  And falling to his knees he cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep. - Acts 7:58-60 (ESV)

Transformers - Peter: From Denial to Gamechanger

There needs to be an authenticity in our relationship with Christ.  Transformation is an ongoing process, and it's essential to confront and address the aspects of our lives that do not align with Jesus' teachings.  In the privacy of our hearts, are you truly reflecting Jesus?

For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”  And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation.” So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls. - Acts 2:39-41 (ESV)

One Anothering - The ABCD’s of Relationships

One Anothering - Single and Complete

One Anothering - Friends with One Another
